The Genesis RM
The Boat
The Genesis RM is Valley's shortest rotomoulded kayak — and lightest. At 15 feet it sits between the two composite sizes, covering the broadest possible range of paddlers in a single hull. It shares approximately 95% of its DNA with the composite Genesis, with small refinements to secondary stability and chine response that arrived with the model update.
Triple-layer polyethylene construction means it takes the abuse the hull was designed for — rock gardens, surf zones, rough landings — without the anxiety that comes with a composite boat. Valley's RM construction uses a foam-core sandwich that produces a stiffer, less warp-prone hull than single-layer plastic, with welded bulkheads and the same hatches and skeg system as the glass version.
It is fast for its length, genuinely capable of overnighters, and easy to lift, car-top, and carry. For paddlers who want a playful, responsive sea kayak that they don't have to treat gently, this is the right answer.

Fit & Sizing
The Genesis RM 15-0 covers paddlers from 55–95 kg. If you fall near the upper end of that range and have wide thighs or large feet, we recommend a demo paddle before ordering — the composite 15-1 has a larger cockpit opening and may be a better fit. Contact us to arrange a demo at our Hamilton location or at an upcoming clinic.
